Burning. Fading away. Sora looked on in disbelief as Axel’s form began to fade to nothingness. He rushed over, dropping to his knees beside the Nobody. He cupped Axel’s face, begging him not to die. Fate. It was such a funny thing. Only a short time ago, Axel was the enemy, trying to destroy Sora, but now he had sacrificed himself to save the young keyblade wielder.

Axel gave a pained laugh. He looked up at Sora, and Sora was certain he saw sadness in those eyes, even though Nobodies were supposed to be emotionless. Axel began to speak. Mostly about Roxas, and the similarities between he and Sora. "I wanted to see Roxas. He was the only one I liked. He made me feel like I had a heart." Axel ended.

Sora leaned in closer, pressing his lips against Axel’s, as the Nobody faded completely.
